Updates to Conversations Feature

Easy Checkbox to Enable Conversations Settings in Your ePortfolio

Thank you to all the schools who have been participating in the beta release of our Conversations feature. Based on your feedback, our team has been very busy making improvements. The feature is now more stable and will soon have an easy to select option to enable the feature on any ePortfolio in the ePortfolio Settings page.

Previously the Conversations feature settings were controlled by the Comments settings, however, to make it easier for your community to enable the feature on their ePortfolios, there is now a simple checkbox option shown on the ePortfolio Settings page as shown below.:

Click on the Conversations icon to start using the feature in your ePortfolio.

After the Conversations tool has been enabled your ePortfolio, click on the Conversations icon to start using the feature in your ePortfolio. The conversations icon is located near the top right of your ePortfolio as shown below. After you click on the icon, the conversations feature will load and you can begin selecting parts of the ePortfolio page you'd like to discuss. Clicking on the conversations icons to start the feature, gives you the ability to choose when you'd like to start showing the conversations instead of having all the conversations icons (the blue tabs) show right away. You can now view and present your ePortfolio pages without distraction.

If the Conversations feature is not available for any reason, an error message will display, and you will need to check back at a later time to review and post new conversations.

If your school has not yet enabled the beta Conversations feature, please contact our help desk at support@digication.com and we'd be happy to make it available for your community. We plan to make this feature available to all schools in Fall 2015.
