Dear Community,
Based on feedback we have received from you, Digication will be making some modifications to the e-Portfolio Settings page. The functionality of all the e-Portfolio Settings will remain exactly the same, but we will soon be adding additional onscreen notifications to end users regarding e-Portfolio permissions. These onscreen notifications give end users information about the possibility that their e-Portfolios will be indexed and cached by search engines if they choose to make their e-Portfolio public.
The notification will also inform end users if they change their e-Portfolio from public to private that the e-Portfolio may have already been indexed and cached by search engines. We take the security of end user information very seriously. If an end user had sensitive information in a public e-Portfolio that has been indexed and cached by search engines we are happy to help facilitate the removal process.
Below are screenshots of the new permissions onscreen notifications that will appear in the e-Portfolio settings page.
If you change your permission settings from Public to Private to me or Private within the school the following onscreen notification will appear:

Kind regards,
Your friends at Digication
